Peer Supports

A Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) is a person with lived experience from substance use issues who has received specialized training and supervision to guide and support others who are experiencing similar substance use issues. The ACCA CRPAs are representatives of our agency and bound by accreditation and licensing.

Peer services allow individuals to draw from their personal experiences to provide help and support to those in similar circumstances. Integrating peer support into the ACCA prevention and treatment programs helps to advance the needs of individuals and families across the various stages of recovery.

If you are currently engaged in treatment at ACCA in either a residential or outpatient program, you can connect with a Peer Advocate for additional support.  Contact Fred Sumner at fsumner@theacca.net for details.
